I don't know anything about this man. His photo cards and surname indicate he was German born. Other than the famous thin man Claude Seurat, Troebs is the only example I've ever found of a European living skeleton. Mr. Troebs (or Tröbs) was known as the "living skeleton"; the "skeleton-man" or, like Dominique Castagna, the "mummy-man". |
