Unid man with twisty bone disease
THEY COULDN'T STAND:
Another group of sideshow performers also couldn't stand but for reasons different from the previous group.  A doctor has tentatively ID'd their condition as 'parastrematic dwarfism' which makes sense as 'parastematic' is from the Greek meaning "twisted"

HUGH BAILY was known as the "Crawfish Boy" or "Pretzel Boy". I don't know anything of his personal life but he had a small part in the 1973 movie "The Mutations" aka "Freakmaker".

LLOYD SKELTON or Shelton was born near Carthage, TN in 1923.  The well-known photo shown here was taken in 1956 at the (Tampa) Florida State Fair when Lloyd was 33 years old.  At the time he weighed 32 lbs and 17" tall when sitting erect.

HAZEL & JACKIE MORRIS were a mother and daughter team who exhibited in the '50's.  They were so successful they took out their own trailer show.  They were in the business at least 7 years and were billed as little people - Hazel (Mom) as 18" tall and daughter Jacquelyne as 16".

SAMUEL DAVID PARKS was billed as "Hopp, the Frog Boy".  He was born in Brazil and must have been in the business a long time judging from the photos below.  He married a midget lady "Princess Wee Wee" and like the Morris girls, had his own show at one time.

"These two ladies had their own grind show framed in a trailer which they had for a few seasons.  The Mother, Hazel Morris, was the couple's manager.  They were very nice people and friendly to their public.  In 1957 I booked them for some fairs with Rod Link's "World of Pleasure Shows". -  Ward Hall
