(below) Coney Island 1928?  King Roy; Irene, fat girl and two unidentified.
Notice banners in the background advertising Prof. Heckler's flea circus.
Detail, Ed. J. Kelty photo, Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Congress of Freaks, Madison Square Garden 1927. To King's right are Pete Robinson, skelton dude and his wife Baby Bunny Smith.
In 1894 the Roy's had their first and only child and christened him King Charles, possibly in honor of Charles I as king of Scotland. He was promoted as being the first albino child born of albino parents in the USA because at the time it was thought that albino parents always had normal-pigmented children.
King Roy was married in 1926 to his first cousin Minnie Belle Wiser, the daughter of his uncle George. The couple had nine children, six of whom were albino.  King retired from circus life in 1932.  He died in 1980 at the age of 86 in Jamestown, Pennsylvania.
