MIAMI, FLA. - When do two feet equal four feet? Francisco Sandoval Rios say his feet will and looks around for someone to repair his two-foot long shoes "for the largest feet in the world." Sandoval Rios, a carnival sideshow attraction, walked into the shop of a harnessmaker with flapping soles and complained no cobbler would touch his shoes. Bill Johnson who runs a Miami shoe shop glanced at the shoes, measuring one foot wide, and remarked: "You could put an elephant's foot in easy." He stitched overtime Sunday to fix them. 25 Jan 1965 |
