| The many,many photos that were taken of Mrs. Reed indicate she was quite popular in her time. It is odd, then, that I have been unable to find anything about her in the newspapers of that era. One cdv indiates her maiden name was Ames, if I read it correctly. Another cdv had a 2 cent revenue stamp attached indicating it was sold between1864 and 1866. |
