FRANK "FREDDIE" ESELE
"Freddie was a popular sideshow act throughout the thirties, forties and fifties.  I think he was with the Dick Best Show for Ringling at the NY and Boston Gardens in 1959.  A remarkable performer as well as a remarkable man.  He could do about anything with his legs, feet and toes other people did with arms hands and fingers." -  showman Ward Hall
Frank began in the outdoor amusement business when in his 20's.  He was born 1888 in Utica, NY but would later give his address as Long Island in the same state.       Frank advertised that he was able to shuffle cards, hammer nails, shave himself and do "a hundred other stunts as easily with his feet as others do with hands."
I've been unable to determine if or when he quit the business or for that matter whatever became of him.
Freddie signed the above photo "Freddie Flanagan".  Perhaps he thought it had more of a ring to it than his right name.
